   OVERVIEW

  EastWest Institute (EWI) – is an independent European-American non-profit organization founded in 1981. It exists to challenge, bridge and transform the security, economic, political and social situation in the transitional countries of Central Europe and Eurasia. The Institute’s personnel totals 80 employees working in the EWI centres in Prague, Kyiv, Moscow, New York, Belgrade, and Brussels. EWI’s President and Founder is John Edwin Mroz. The EWI is guided by the international Board of Directors, which Co-Chairs are H.E.Martti Ahtisaari, former President of Finland, and George Russell, Chairman of the Frank Russell Company (USA).

  The Kyiv Centre was established in 1997 in accordance with the decision of the EWI international Board of Directors.

  To implement its tasks, the Kyiv Centre collaborates with Ukrainian government structures, Verkhovna Rada, local and regional leaders, non-governmental organizations, media and private business representatives. The detailed information on EWI KC's projects you can find at projects' section. 

  The Advisory Council of the EastWest Institute Kyiv Center is chaired by academician Mykola Zhulynsky.

  Director of the EWI Kyvi Centre – member of the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee), regional development expert Serhiy Maksymenko.
